Lowell & Lucy: Treat - Loving Duo Seeking Their Forever Humans
Lowell & Lucy: Treat - Loving Duo Seeking Their Forever Humans
16 months old
This brother and sister duo came to us as little wildlings from the Parnell Rose Gardens and are around 1 year old.
Lowell is a very handsome and loving boy but is generally suspicious of people until he gets to know you (or you bribe him with treats and tail scritches). When you are known as the supplier of tasty and delicious things, he will become your shadow, popping out of his latest hidey hole to take as much kitty worship and bribery as you can provide. He prefers to be worshipped on the ground or on the couch next to you – he’s not super keen on being picked up but is learning to tolerate cuddles off the floor!
Lucy was a spicy and sassy little girl when she arrived. She is very shy to start off with, but if Lowell is getting attention then she will try to join in with the smoochies (on the floor of course and always starting with tail scritches). She loves to be up at the highest point in the room on a cat tower or in a comfy hammock.
Temptations and tube treats will get you a long way with these gorgeous cats. Lowell is very food motivated and will push in to clean his sister’s plate if not supervised.
They are very strongly bonded and are often found snoozing or playing together, so must be adopted together. They would be suitable for an adult / teenager environment where there are understanding humans who can work on building a relationship with them – they won’t be smoochy or super-friendly straight away.
These two are being offered as a foster-to-adopt placement with no adoption fee. They need a patient, loving home willing to invest time in helping them build confidence and come out of their shells at their own pace. The NZ Cat Foundation will be available to provide guidance and support if needed during their transition.
Both have been desexed, microchipped, and had their vaccinations.
