Jazzy is from Otara, trapped at an abandoned block of KO houses as a kitten. We picked up on some wobbly walking a while ago which was diagnosed as grade 2 luxating patellas in both back legs.

Aside from the Patellas, Jazz is just a loving and cuddly kitty who doesn’t know she has silly legs! She loves to snuggle under blankies and bedding with her humans. Her adoration for pats gets her carried away, Jazz issues gentle love bites on her foster Mum’s chin when she’s blissed out making bikkies.

Jazz will need a chill home to help her feel safe as she settles in. She adores other cats and sensible older kids are best. She must be indoors to restrict jumping and twisting movements so her back legs are kept injury free.

Foster for Life is a semi adoption arrangement where FPS keeps guardianship over the health needs of an animal. The day to day needs and care are met by the F4L parents and FPS covers costs relating to conditions already diagnosed. For Jazz, this would be potential future luxating patella surgery and arthritis treatment costs.

We are a registered charity run by volunteers in our spare time. Our animals are fostered in different foster homes across Auckland and we require you to meet the animal in their foster home before deciding to go ahead with adoption.
