Rick is from Waterview, where he had been menacing the neighbourhood and staying out all hours! His owners were tracked down and understood it was best for him to come into care after his desex.

What can we say about Rick?

He is just a bit of a dick. Richard is the older brother who farted on a pillow and held it over your face. He’s your friends BF who didn’t make the uber wait for you to come out of the bathroom before leaving the restaurant. Rick would be called ‘Richie’ by the other young male cats and they would bring it in with a bro handshake - if cats had thumbs and English. He would likely make a bigoted comment if he could and round it off with ‘chill, it was a joke!’. Ricardo was a Big boy on the streets and big boy at home with his energy.

He still thinks he’s tough stuff, Rick is actually a lazy dork who just wants to snack and collect pats in the sun. Big bud enjoys attention and hates anyone else getting some, he will insert himself into any business to make sure hands are occupied patting him. The problem is that if he wants those pats to stop he will use his teef or claws (usually gently). Rickolas will also use his shoulders and swagger to dominate the dinner dish and best sun spots. Don’t even mention to him when the neighbours cat shows up on the fence line.

The best household for Rick the Dick is one with people who don’t take him and his swagger too seriously. Blowing on his face and pushing him away is better than shrieking and whinging. There will only be one cat (Rick) shitting in your garden with mr. Territorial around. Kids aren’t recommended as he will use his claws on occasion and to be honest we would like to see him in a household with a cat friendly dog to see if his brain re registers his true size.
