Kiwi is from an ongoing site in Avondale where sneaky females keep avoiding traps and having kittens. His siblings also had flu, sadly Seagull who we poured our heart into didn’t make it but Kiwi is here to stay and being blind won’t stop him.
This lil’ heart stealer is a HUGE personality! Kiwi has fabulous hearing he uses to pinpoint close by victims for a bap. You can see his little ears calibrate when something interesting sounds off. He enjoys chewing on satisfying things, being part of a conversation and snuggling with his human and dog fosterers. He does use his mouth to explore things but is mostly gentle when this involves people. Cheeky Kiwi is great with the litterbox, but he also uses it as a playpen… lucky hes a clean buddy!
Kiwi’s home must be strictly indoors/contained. He would be fine with a very gentle and cat friendly dog. His fosterer can talk an adopter through the ins and outs of blind kitten ownership and we have groups and links for those interested to learn more about owning a blind cat.
To meet Kiwi please message us. Please note that adequate completion of an adoption questionnaire and a fee of $200 applies. Preference will be given to an applicant with experience caring for blind cats.
You will receive an email when new pets arrive - completely free!
