Rio is a sweet young girl looking for a patient home where she can settle in at her own pace and let her lovely personality shine.

Having come into the care of The NZ Cat Foundation, Rio has shown herself to be an affectionate, gentle, and curious companion. She can be a little shy when meeting new people or experiencing new surroundings, but once she feels safe, she enjoys attention and companionship from those she trusts.

One of Rio's favourite things is receiving gentle booty pats, and she is always happy to soak up affection when she's feeling comfortable. She has a calm nature and enjoys taking her time to observe the world around her before joining in.

Rio would be best suited to a quieter home with older children who can respect her need for patience and understanding while she settles in. She enjoys the company of other cats and may benefit from having a confident feline friend around.

As an indoor-only cat, Rio is looking for a safe and secure home where she can continue to build her confidence and feel protected.
