My Darling Boy, Cricket (Special Needs!)
My Darling Boy, Cricket (Special Needs!)
10 months old
This is my darling boy, Cricket. I have had him for 5 months and he has only brought me happiness. It breaks my heart to have to post this as the only reason I am giving him away is because I need to make space for my partner’s nana and brother. Because of my love for him, I will lay it out plainly for his next person to take into consideration. He will need someone who is present, vigilant, willing to teach him, and love him as much as he will love you. I gave him his name because his back legs are deformed and have grown like little cricket legs. His previous owner had several litters from Cricket’s mother and grandmother and they all had two kittens with what Cricket has, which I am assuming is Swimmers Syndrome. I am unsure if his litter was a result of inbreeding. His condition does not affect his ability to manoeuvre and he loves exploring/climbing around the house. He has only ever had supervised outside time. He would only fit being an indoor cat/catio cat as his disability restricts him from jumping. Cricket was born around New Years, making him 9 months old. He is litterbox trained, but will have accidents when pooping, especially on plush carpet as he gets confused. Must have an area that can be easily cleaned as he brings poop out of the litter box on his bum/knees sometimes. He needs to be bathed or wiped with a cloth every once in a while, litter sticks to his fur and creates build up on his knees which he can’t get off himself. I normally soak him in the sink then gently wash him with dog shampoo. He is good with other cats, but needs slow introductions. Cricket will run if frightened. When introducing him to another cat, Cricket was curious but hesitant. Within a few days, they would sunbathe and sit together. Cricket is smaller than others his age. Previously in a small space with his mother and grandmother, his food was stolen. This makes him anxious eater and will gobble food very quickly. Cricket has been flea and wormed 5/10/25. He will come with litter tray, litter, and collar. Not desexed.
