Personality: Dallas is a beautiful cat who would make a wonderful companion. She can be a little shy with new people and unfamiliar environments, so she may spend her first week hiding while she settles in. Once she feels comfortable, Dallas will happily seek out affection—she'll meow, rub against you, and make it clear she's ready for attention. While she's not a fan of being picked up, she loves sitting beside you for pats and will reward you with plenty of purrs, dribbles, and chatter.

Dallas is FIV-positive, but don't let that discourage you—she's otherwise healthy. She will need to be kept indoors to protect her immune system and prevent the spread of FIV to other cats. When she first arrived, she was missing fur around her back and tail, likely due to fleas. Most of her coat has grown back, with just a small patch still filling in at the base of her tail.

Ideal Home: Dallas needs a calm home without other cats or dogs, as they can cause her stress. She does well with older children.
To keep her safe, please ensure all external doors and windows remain closed so she can't slip outside. We also recommend starting her in a smaller, quiet room until she has adjusted before giving her access to the rest of the house.
