Chloe
Chloe
15 months old
When we were called to a property after a dog had attacked kittens, we knew we needed to move quickly. We set a trap, hoping to catch the terrified young mum cat trying to survive out there on her own.
That mum was Chloe.
Chloe had already experienced more fear, instability, and hardship than any young cat should. Despite everything, nobody came forward for her. No one came looking for the beautiful girl who had been left to fend for herself while trying to protect her babies.
Since coming into foster care, Chloe has slowly started learning what safety feels like.
She is now desexed, microchipped, flea and worm treated, vaccinated, and fully litter trained. While she has made incredible progress adjusting to indoor life, the world can still feel a little overwhelming for her at times. Sudden noises and unfamiliar situations can still give her a fright, but underneath that cautious exterior is one of the smoochiest, sweetest girls you could ever meet.
Once Chloe realises she is safe, she absolutely melts into affection. She leans into pats, adores attention, and has the loudest purr, the kind that feels like relief, comfort, and hope.
We feel Chloe would be best suited to a calmer home with children over five who can understand when she needs a little patience and space while settling in. She has bonded beautifully with some cats in care, but has also been reactive toward others at times, which is completely understandable considering her past. Because of this, we feel Chloe would likely thrive as the only cat in the home where she can fully relax and feel secure.
Chloe doesn’t need a perfect home. She just needs a kind one.
A home with someone patient, gentle, and willing to show her that humans can be safe. In return, you’ll gain a cat who loves deeply because she knows exactly what it feels like to have nothing.
