12 years young, gentle, healthy, low-maintenance, and happiest with kind humans nearby.

🌿 Meet Ash 🌿
I’m posting on behalf of my niece, who is heartbroken about needing to rehome Ash. She’s asked me to help field enquiries so she only has to consider genuine, suitable options.

Ash is a much-loved family dog looking for a new forever spot to call home.

She’s around 12 years old (exact age a mystery — she was “promoted to pet” when her farmer realised she preferred pats to paddocks). Ash has been part of our family ever since, and is the sweetest, most good-natured girl you could hope to meet.

✨ What Ash is like:

Loves attention and cuddles, but is equally content snoozing nearby if you’re busy.

Enjoys a short stroll or quick jog, but marathon days are behind her.

Rock-solid with stock, chooks, cats, and kids.

Healthy, desexed, low-maintenance, with just a brush and nail trim needed now and then.

She’s always d rurally, so gumboots are more her style than high heels. Traffic sense is limited to tractors and motorbikes, so a quieter lifestyle will suit her best.

Her family are moving overseas, and after much heartbreak have accepted that long-haul flights and city living just aren’t right for Ash.

They’re hoping to find someone kind who would love a gentle, quiet companion to share their days with.

📍 Currently in the Bay of Plenty. If not rehomed by early October, she’ll be relocating to Northland to stay with extended family until a permanent home is found.
