Swedish Vallhunds are a rare breed here in New Zealand. They are the national dog of Sweden.
They are a Viking Dog of ancient legend, are smart and sociable with a dense coat and boundless energy. They are rugged cattle dogs and are known for their zest for life, unique vocalizations, and cheerful demeanor.

Vallhunds are a timeless breed, as comfortable in a suburban backyard as they were on the prow of Viking longships 1,200 years ago. They are great family dogs, they bond strongly with their people and love adventure.
