Samoyeds are originally from Siberia where they d alongside the Samoyed people. They are a medium sized breed of dog, typically weighing from 20kg (females) to 25kg (males). They are very intelligent and family oriented. Samoyeds adore children and other dogs, and of course love plenty of exercise. They are traditionally sled dogs and thrive on exercise to keep them at their happiest and healthiest. A walk or two would be their minimum requirement per day. Their long coats are double layered, however need not be as high maintenance as you might expect. A good brush every week or two will keep them looking beautiful and, once their under coat starts to shed, a good groom to remove most of it in one go is recommended. Samoyeds typically for between 12-15 years.
