Roo – 6.5 - month Whippet × Staffy looking for an active, social home

Roo is a wonderful young dog — she’s just landed in the wrong home.

Roo is a bright, affectionate 6.5-month-old Whippet × Staffy cross with a huge personality and a lot of love to give.

She’s playful, incredibly people-oriented, and very clever. Roo forms strong bonds with her people and thrives on activity, learning, and social interaction. She sleeps through the night and is crate trained.

Sadly, it’s become clear that my CBD apartment environment isn’t the right long-term setting for a young, energetic dog like her. I’ve worked hard to help her settle with structured routines, training guidance, daily sniff walks and enrichment, but she’s a social, high-energy puppy who would clearly do better with more space and a more dog-friendly lifestyle.

My building manager has also started putting pressure on me about noise, so I need to find Roo a better long-term home soon.

Roo would likely thrive in a home that has/is:
• A house rather than an apartment
• An active owner or family
• Space to run and explore
• Ideally another friendly dog

She’s still very young and incredibly smart, and with the right environment she has all the makings of an amazing companion.

This decision hasn’t been easy, but my priority is finding Roo a home where she can truly flourish.

She is vaccinated, desexed, and microchipped.

This puppy meets the NZ Animal Welfare Code. She is healthy, well cared for, and raised in a home environment with regular feeding, shelter, exercise, and socialisation. She is not being sold through a commercial breeding operation and is being rehomed to find her a suitable long-term home.
