Marlow – 5 Year Old Golden Retriever x Border Collie

Marlow is affectionate, intelligent, and deeply bonded to his people, enjoying pats, toys, games, and spending time with his family. He is crate trained for both home and travel, knows his basic commands, and responds extremely well to positive reinforcement training.

While he enjoys daily exercise and mental stimulation, Marlow has lower exercise needs than many Border Collies and prefers open spaces such as beaches, parks, or lifestyle blocks. Busy urban environments, crowded areas, and narrow walking tracks can be overwhelming for him.

Marlow has d in a structured family home and is used to being an indoor dog with access to outdoor areas. He can be wary of unfamiliar people, particularly men wearing hats or hi-vis clothing, but settles well with appropriate introductions.

Following advice from both a veterinarian and behaviourist, Marlow is seeking an adult-only home. He has become increasingly uncomfortable around young, mobile children and will thrive in a calm, predictable environment with experienced or dog-savvy owners who understand canine body language.

Marlow has d with another dog his entire life and generally enjoys other dogs in neutral environments such as beaches, kennels, and daycare. However, he can be reactive to unfamiliar dogs on lead and may resource guard items, he would be best suited as the only dog or with experienced management.
