Neeva is one of a crew that were found wandering South Auckland. They were tracked back to an abusive owner who threatened to kill them if they weren’t taken immediately.

Neevs is a people pleaser who loves other dogs! She is ace at fetch and has lots of positive energy to give. She is super smart and listens well, but can be led astray if other dogs are doing something naughty and fun - typical teenager. Neeva picks up commands so fast and would fit in well with a family with an existing dog and structure - she loves knowing what to do and having a pat for getting it right! Neeva doesn’t always needs treats as a reward - cuddles and pats are just as enticing.

Her ideal home has a dog same age or older and has people to include her in routine and structure - regular walks, set bedtimes etc. She is fine with cats, kids and other animals. She is fine with gentle men but gets anxious with new men who are ‘gruff’ due to her terrible puppyhood with her first ‘owner - she soon learns when men are good though!

We are a registered charity run by volunteers in our spare time. Our animals are fostered in different foster homes across Auckland and we require you to meet the animal in their foster home before deciding to go ahead with adoption. We deal with adoption applications in writing and appreciate your patience when messaging about your interest.
