Catahoula Puppies
Catahoula Puppies
10 weeks old
We have 3 NALC (National Association of Louisiana Catahoula) registered Pedigree male puppies available from our planned litter for our own replacements. One solid red, one brindle and one solid black with brindle trim. Not all purebred Catahoula's are Leopards with blue or glass eyes.
Both parents are proven pig dogs. The sire is a our main. He is a very well bred import. He is from well known hog dog lines of both Australia and America. We bred the bitch ourselves. She is out of our old main and is a finder bailer.
Catahoula's are high-energy dogs. They are territorial, protective, and need a job. They also have very high prey drive and excel at tracking. These traits often intensify at maturity, so proper socialization is a must. They are a cold nose dog, so generally track fresh scent, they also air and ground scent. Catahoula's are the State dog of Louisiana and have been purebreds since the 1800's. They have been regularly wormed and had their first inoculations.
These pups are very forward, they are already stopping their littermates and bailing.
