**We are only considering homes with another dog, Ted has previously d without another dog and found this upsetting.

Posting on behalf of my mum who’s had a change of circumstances and is searching for a new, loving home for her dog Teddy.

Ted is a black, male, neutered schnauzer, approximately 8.5/9 years old. He has an absolute heart of gold and loves everyone. Gets along well with other dogs within the home but is extremely nervous outside of the house and may have some anxiety issues in public spaces, as it stands he doesn’t go to dog parks etc as this overwhelms him. Good with children. He would be best suited to someone who is able to spend time with him during the day as he gets lonely.

Ted is a very vocal dog - he likes to talk and barks when stimulated. If your home is set up where he can see or hear people walk past he will bark. He cannot go on walks without becoming overstimulated and barking. He needs someone with patience & who doesn't mind his barking. Someone familiar with Schnauzers would be the best scenario.

Ted is best suited to a home that has another dog, as he can get separation anxiety if left completely alone.

He has spent his life sleeping indoors, if he can get away with it he'll curl up on your bed, but currently sleeps in a crate in the bedroom. He's used to being able to hop on couches etc.

He gets along with cats fine, has grown up around them, so isn't aggressive with them, but can be too boisterous for them at times.
