We are looking to re-home our lovely dog Nika. She’s a 6 year old Border Collie cross Japanese Spitz that we’ve had since she was a puppy. She is a super fluffy, cute, intelligent, loyal and energetic ball of fun! She is great with kids and other dogs...loves the beach, swimming and playing tug of war. She is very loyal and well trained - she will always stick with you off lead and return when called. She is great with house sitters and dog walkers.

Unfortunately due to our expanding family with young kids and a brand newborn, we have less and less time and energy to offer what Nika really needs. She is an active, high-energy dog who needs daily walks and a large property to run around. We thought we would have moved to a bigger property by now, but plans have changed.

Recently Nika has been diagnosed with a type of arthritis which is manageable with low cost para-codeine medication. This means she can't play fetch anymore but she can still run off lead on the beach/park as long as she doesn't sprint too hard on her leg. Other than that she is in good health and is up to date with all her dental care and vaccinations.

We would really love to see Nika re-homed to someone who has more time than us to walk her, play with her and give her the attention she deserves. Ideally you will also have a large property for her to safely run around.

We are Nelson based but we are open to her going anywhere in the South Island provided you pick her up.
