Due to changes in my circumstances I’m needing to rehome my much-loved 4 yr old Sharpei, Pia. This is an incredibly difficult decision, and finding the right long-term home is my priority.

Pia is a total Sharpei! Independent, alert & quietly loyal. Great natural watchdog. Very headstrong. Super snobby (like a cat in dog’s body!). She loves her own space, enjoys patrolling the yard & is a calm, clean house dog who thrives in a peaceful home. She’s not an affectionate cuddly dog; though may press her bum into you for a good scratch when shes happy to see you ! She’s very reserved & a little untrusting around strangers & bonds best with someone who respects her space, letting her exist quietly without pressure. She’s observant & curious, enjoys activity but is also happy chilling. loves chasing birds or rabbits. She can be territorial with other female dogs around sleeping areas but does well when dogs have separate spaces.

House trained, very clean indoors

Excellent health; past eye surgery resolved

Needs ears cleaned weekly to avoid issues.

Diet is important: loves green tripe patties daily alongside quality kibble, possyum roll, and rotated foods

Recall needs work (selective hearing sharpei hehe)

Excited by unfamilar cats outside but coexists very well with cats after slow introductions.

Not suitable for chaining, tethering, or crate confinement
