Rusty came into the care of Paws-Restart approximately 18 months ago, after being rescued from the streets and put in the pound. How he got there and what he went through on the streets, we will never know.

We do know, he did not trust humans or want a human anywhere near him. To see any animal back away from human touch breaks our hearts. He never tried to attack or bite us, he was just terrified of us. This is what gave us the hope, that we may actually be able to help this handsome guy.

Rusty needed a very special foster home, one with lots of love, patience, kindness and time and how lucky was he to be fostered into a home with everything he needed in spades!

Today Rusty is;

Desexed

Toilet trained

Great with other dogs

Affectionate/loves a cuddle

Untested on children & Cats

May chase stock, so must be kept on a lead (this is ongoing training being worked on with trainers) some days he doesn’t bother about them, then somedays he does ??
