These two gorgeous 6 month old tabby siblings haven't had the start to life that kittens should have had.

They've spent their s confined to a small room, with very little exposure to people or normal everyday life. Despite that, they're both incredibly sweet, gentle little souls. They're shy, but there's not a nasty bone in either of them. They just need someone willing to give them the time and patience they should have had from the beginning.

And we'd really, really love to keep them together.

Big brother is the braver of the two and very much his sister's protector. He is more comfortable being handled, while she takes a lot of her confidence from having him nearby. She can be touched and patted but is still learning that being picked up isn't something to be frightened of.

These aren't kittens who are going to march into your house on day one and demand a spot on your lap. But with patience, kindness and a bit of work, we think they have every chance of becoming absolutely beautiful family pets.

They deserve the opportunity to find out what a proper home feels like, together.

Both will be desexed, microchipped and vaccinated this week and are in foster in Pukekohe.
