Catcatraz Cat Rescue has cats and kittens that often get overlooked by people wanting to adopt because they aren't "cuddly" or "snuggly" and hide away from strangers.
Timid cats need extra time and patience to gain their trust. Some may take weeks or months to be able to touch them, so if you're looking for an instant lap cat these are not the right match for you.
Some cats can be adopted to homes with other pets and kids, others are only suitable for single-cat, child-free homes.
Please send us a message telling us about yourself, your household, other pets and kids (if applicable) so that we can provide details of the cats that are best suited to your environment.
Adoption fees: $100 for one, $150 for a pair.
Travel can be arranged for regions between Taupo - Wellington and elsewhere in North Island may be possible - please enquire.
All cats are desexed, microchipped, had at least one vaccination and are up to date with flea and worm treatment prior to adoption.
