Cochesei Abyssinians are proud to announce on the 30th of December 2025 our beautiful girl Deb and handsome boy Taka, both imports from Australia have had their first litter. A total of four kittens, colours being two blue and two tawny. Mum and bubs doing fabulously. The two tawny male kittens will be available for pet homes while the other two we will run on for our breeding programme.
Our kittens are house born (in the bedroom) and raised so they get daily handling and will be well socialised.
I am well informed about the genetic conditions relating to the Abyssinian breed, and both parents of the kittens are free from the inheritable diseases, Pyruvate kinase deficiency (PK def) and Progressive retinal atrophy (PRA). Parents have come from lines/cattery that is FIV & FeLV, T.Foetus free.

Genetics are important ensuring an optimum healthy start to life that looks towards a grand old age.
Kittens will be desexed, vet checked, microchipped and treated for flea and worming. As a registered breeder I adhere to New Zealand Cat Fancy (NZCF) & Catz Inc rules and regulations whereby the kitten will have had one vaccination and will not leave us until at least 10 weeks of age (10/3/26), these kittens will be registered, offering reassurance around responsible breeding practices, health, and ongoing breeder support.
They will come with a starter insurance package deal including kitten biscuits care information toy & blanket.
We ask for a $500 deposit to secure a kitten. The deposit is refundable if we don't meet your request, but it is not refundable if you change your mind. The total price including the deposit is $2,500 for a kitten from this litter.
