Scout – Your Future Couch Buddy & Neighbourhood Patrol Officer
2 years old
Scout is a handsome black & white tuxedo boy who has had a hard start and is now looking for a quiet forever home to call his own.
Scout is an independent lad who is perfectly happy entertaining himself while his people are out at work. He enjoys patrolling the neighbourhood and would suit a calm, quiet area where he can safely explore and keep an eye on everything happening around him. Despite his independent streak, Scout absolutely loves greeting you when you get home and is always happy for pats and attention.
Scout isn’t a cat who enjoys being picked up and cuddled, but he does love company on his own terms. He will happily sit beside you on the couch or curl up on your knee while you relax in the evenings. Once he trusts you, he becomes a loyal companion.
Scout does still have a playful rough-and-tumble side and can get a bit overexcited during playtime, including giving little love bites, so he would suit a cat-savvy home that understands cat body language and respects his boundaries.
One thing Scout is serious about is his food. He adores wet food and is not much of a biscuit eater, his future family will need to be prepared to keep him well stocked with the good stuff — two sachets for breakfast and two for dinner. And don’t try cutting corners… Scout can definitely count. If dinner service is running late, he has been known to head to the pantry and help himself!
Scout would do best in a home with no other cats initially so he has time to settle in and feel secure in his new environment. Once settled, his new family could introduce a second cat later on if they wished.
Scout would thrive in a home that appreciates an independent, character-filled cat who wants love, companionship, and the freedom to be himself.
Scout is desexed, microchipped, flea and worm treated. He is currently being fostered in Huapai.
