Meet Rusty — one of those cats who quietly steals your heart.

Rusty is estimated to be around 7–8 years old, although we can’t know his exact age. He was found wandering the streets of Papakura, and despite posting on local Lost & Found pages, nobody came forward for him.

Rusty is an absolute sweetheart who adores people. He has such a gentle, and loving nature.

Unfortunately, Rusty has developed urinary crystals, which means he needs to remain strictly on a specialised urinary diet to help prevent and manage the condition. Because of this, Rusty needs a home where someone is able to be vigilant about his diet and wellbeing.
We want his next chapter to be somewhere he can finally feel safe, relaxed and loved.

Rusty's permanent foster arrangement:
Because Rusty requires a specialised urinary diet, there is no adoption fee.
Rusty will be placed as a permanent foster through the New Zealand Cat Foundation, who will continue to support him throughout his life, including providing his specialised urinary food.
His foster family will simply need to provide him with the safe, loving home he deserves and ensure his dietary needs are followed carefully, and able to transport him to the NZ Cat Foundation sanctuary in Huapai if veterinary care or check-ups are required

After everything Rusty has been through, we desperately want to find him a home where he can finally settle, feel secure and be someone's beloved boy.
