Rachel & Rowena, bonded cat pair
Rachel & Rowena, bonded cat pair
18 months old
Rachel and Rowena are two shy girls that must be adopted together.
Estimated ages: 1 - 2 years.
Desexed, microchipped, had first vax.
These girls are either sisters or mother and daughter, as Rowena is bigger than Rachel.
Tightly bonded, they must go together to a home that is patient and supportive. These girls have had a difficult start to life. Born at an animal hoarder's property, Rachel and Rowena already had their own kittens when they came to us and were sickly and withdrawn.
Rowena has a cloudy eye which is likely the result of an old ulcer. Her eyes have been checked by a vet and no ongoing issues are anticipated as it does not appear to impact her vision.
They have both started to enjoy pats and are showing normal cat behaviors now. However, a new home may send them back into temporary withdrawal until they feel safe so they are not suitable for anyone expecting cat cuddles or affection straight away.
Rachel and Rowena are used to our other cats and dog. Rachel swats the dog if he gets too close.
Adoption fee is $150 for the pair.
Please tell us a bit about your household, other pets, kids etc when you message. We ask questions to ensure it's the right fit for everyone.
Travel within the Wellington - Taupo regions can be arranged, other North Island regions can be discussed.
Please note, these girls are not suitable for an in-person visit as they will hide away from strangers. Instead, a video call to "meet" them in their relaxed environment is recommended.
