Gertie is from Otahuhu. The silly girl gave birth to kittens in the ceiling space between the 2 levels of a house and caused our trapper much stress! Sensibly she moved them to an access point where she and kits could be scooped and brought into care.

This lady is the ultimate family cat. She is good with a bit of chaos, confident, loves to play and adores attention. Gertie can be bossy and is pretty fearless so needs a nudge in the bum to move out from under feet. If you do that thing where you sit in your car on the driveway checking messages before heading inside after work…. She will smoosh her belly on the windscreen and yell until you exit the vehicle! Gertie always has her smize on - happy, smiley cat eyes. After years of scavenging and having kittens she’s stoked to be well fed and warm.

Gertie would be fine with kids and sensible dogs with the right intro. She is fine with other cats and generally a bombproof kitty.
