If you are looking to help an old man the rest out of his days in a cosy home with lots of love, then look no further than Oscar.

Oscar is a 10, almost 11 years old Birman who was surrendered after his dad was put into a home. Oscar has a lot of love to give and he needs the right family to give it to.

A few things about Oscar:

- He is a very shy cat and will take some time to open up. Once he does though, he will not leave you alone. From bonking your legs to ask for attention, from voicing up (loudly!) his opinions (that he has on EVERYTHING), he will become your little shadow.

- It is believed that Oscar has early onset lymphoma. This means he is on daily steroids and will be for the rest of his life. It also means he has some gastric issues and needs a special diet. Oscar is a cat that will need a lot of care and veterinary following. We believe he may have 3 or 4 years left, however it could be less.

What he needs:

- A house where he is the only pet, ideally with no children as he needs a quiet life. He is very much a solitary cat, attached to one or 2 people.

- Ideally a fenced garden as he loves going outside but he's not very street smart, or access to a catio, or someone that will commit to take him out for little harness walks in a quiet neighbourhood.

- Someone who will be patient with him and his quirks, who will commit to loving him no matter what and spend the money that he needs to a comfortable pain-free life.

Once he has bonded with you, he is the loveliest cat. He loves snuggles, grooming you, loves a brushing, loves treats, and will give you love bites to show you his affection.
