This special sibling duo will both take a little time to adjust to new people; especially Mae-Mae, but once settled, you’ll be greeted with purrs, chin rubs and chats at the door when you get home. George is immensely curious, making him a good guide for his sister as he sniffs out a new room or person, encouraging her to leave her hiding spot to explore and play with him. You can expect to wake up most mornings with Mae-Mae sleeping on your shoulder and George being a purry alarm clock at the foot of the bed.
George and Mae-Mae would be suitable for someone who’s home often so they can eat up your attention with snuggles and purrs. Kids, even when quiet, are very scary to these two so a home without young children would be ideal for them. George and Mae-Mae must be adopted together as George is a bit of a support blanket for Mae-Mae. Allowing her to still have her brother in a new and scary house will definitely make the transition easier. Plus, two cats really are better than one!

A re-homing contribution is charged to help us recoup part of the cost of your pet's care during their stay with us, but by no means does this cover the full cost.
Coast to Coast Cat Rescue is a non-profit organisation dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and re-homing of cats. All of our funds go towards the welfare of these cats for food and vet care. They will receive a vet check, are desexed, vaccinated, microchipped (this is also registered on the NZ Companion Animal Register for you) and full flea and worm treatments.
Our team of volunteers work hard to assess their personality and likes/dislikes so we can pair them up with their fur-ever home. Because of this we do have a re-homing process to go through. So please ask Sam for an application form to get this under way.
You will receive an email when new pets arrive - completely free!
