FILO An Only Prince xxx
FILO An Only Prince xxx
3 years old
This stunning, approximately 3-4 year old boy was dropped into a local vet as a stray - with a leg injury that made even the vet and vet nurses wince.
Intact with no microchip plus that dreadful leg, meant that he was on heavy duty pain relief for the 7 day stray holding period, then whipped into surgery for both his desexing and more importantly, the amputation of his right front leg. There was no saving it; it was a shocking, old injury which must have been excruciatingly painful.
Lucky for Filo, a lovely vet nurse offered to foster him through his rehabilitation and now, he can jump tall buildings in a single bound (we kid you not!), and he moves like the wind so we figure he's feeling pretty good about life and his place in it.
Filo would be best as the only cat in the family. A complete sweetheart, you can hold and cuddle him like a baby and he literally just melts into your arms. Super friendly, he's fabulous around young kids too; he played with his fosterer's toddler, never once using his claws or teeth and he's the same with everyone at the Rescue Cattery - all of whom have fallen under his spell completely!
He's a busy not-so-little bee - but that works in his favour because being a tripod, he needs to stay trim. He also loves, loves, LOVES his food (he'd obviously experienced hunger during the time he was a stray) and will scoff both his wet and dry meals in one sitting - so energetic play sessions help to work off those calories and stop him becoming too weighty.
We think his ideal family would be a busy one where lots is going on and someone is around home a lot, so having kids in the mix would work really well. He's a complete love who has come through an horrific ordeal at a young age and who has literaly bounced back brilliantly.
Having been desexed, microchipped, fully vaccinated, defleaed, wormed and that pesky leg sorted, he is now ready to be adopted. If you would like to know more about him, or meet him, contact his Aunty Helen 0274 070 659 / ****
