Yellow Golden Pheasants are a stunning colour mutation of the traditional Golden Pheasant, prized for their softer, lighter tones. The males feature a beautiful lemon-yellow crest and cape, paired with pale golden body feathers and subtle contrasting markings — giving them a bright, almost glowing appearance.
Hens are delicately patterned in soft buff and fawn shades, blending beautifully into natural surroundings. Like standard Goldens, they’re hardy, active, and well suited to aviaries with shelter. Their unique colouring and strong visual appeal make Y Goldens a standout and slightly rarer addition to any ornamental bird collection.
All our birds have been raised with optimal physical, emotional and mental health in mind.
Birds can be bused or flown to any destination in NZ at new owners’ expense.
Alternatively, we are based in Portland, 8kms South of Whangarei – less than a 2hr drive from Auckland.
Viewing the birds is welcome by arrangement.
