Golden Pheasants are one of the most colourful and eye-catching ornamental birds you can keep. The males are stunning, with a bright golden-yellow crest, rich red body, vivid blue accents, and a beautifully patterned cape that fans out during display — they really are a living piece of artwork.
The hens are more subtle in colouring, with soft mottled brown plumage that provides natural camouflage, but they’re still elegant birds. Golden Pheasants are hardy, active, and well suited to aviaries with good shelter. Their bold colouring, manageable size, and strong breeding ability make them a favourite choice for both new and experienced pheasant keepers.

All our birds have been raised with optimal physical, emotional and mental health in mind.

Birds can be bused or flown to any destination in NZ at new owners’ expense.
Alternatively, we are based in Portland, 8kms South of Whangarei – less than a 2hr drive from Auckland.

Viewing the birds is welcome by arrangement.
