Hand reared young Eclectus available – suitable as either a pet or breeding bird.
Male & Females available.

All our baby birds have been raised with optimal physical, emotional and mental health in mind. This young Eclectus was incubated and hatched by parents. Parent raised for first 14 days enabling initial natural feeding & gut microbiota.
After, babies are reared on Higgins InTune Natural hand rearing formula – one of the highest quality, most naturally based formulas available. Young birds are kept together to develop good social skills, emotional balance and well-being – basically this makes sure they know they are a bird not a confused, feathered human. Babies are eventually weaned onto a high-end diet of quality sprouted seed, fresh veges & fruit and Higgins InTune Natural pellets for dinner completing an all-round nutrient balance.
Eclectus make excellent pets, highly colourful in stunning hues - can be trained - with patience.
Some may talk quite well but is an individual thing. They are a medium sized bird and suitable for all levels of pet bird owners.
We take hand raising parrots very seriously following modern avicultural ‘best practices’. We have a focus on only high-end nutrition and the birds utmost health and welfare in mind in all decisions.

We don’t sell un-weaned birds, non-independent birds – please don’t ask. Available to approved homes only. Previous bird experience ideal but not essential, however a commitment to quality time spent, exercise and nutrition for our birds going forward will be essential.
Lifetime support and a bag of Higgins InTune Natural pellets will be offered to all new bird owners.

Birds can be bused or flown to any destination in NZ at new owners’ expense.
Alternatively, we are based in Portland, 8kms South of Whangarei – less than a 2hr drive from Auckland.

Viewing the birds is welcome by arrangement.
