The Carolina Wood Duck is a small, beautifully coloured duck that stands out in any aviary or pond setting. The males are especially eye-catching, with iridescent green and purple tones, bold white markings, and chestnut colouring on the chest, while the females have a softer grey-brown look with a distinctive white eye ring.
They’re a relatively quiet, hardy species that do well in aviaries with access to water and shelter. Carolina Ducks are popular for their striking appearance, calm nature, and strong breeding ability, making them a favourite among ornamental waterfowl keepers.

All our birds have been raised with optimal physical, emotional and mental health in mind.

Birds can be bused or flown to any destination in NZ at new owners’ expense.
Alternatively, we are based in Portland, 8kms South of Whangarei – less than a 2hr drive from Auckland.

Viewing the birds is welcome by arrangement.
