Our beloved Border Collie Bandit is looking for a new forever home due to changes in our circumstances (downsizing). He's a 4 year old smart, loyal companion who would thrive in the right environment and with the right family.

About Him:
- High-energy working breed that needs plenty of mental and physical stimulation
- Incredibly intelligent and eager to please
- Forms strong bonds with his people
- Great with children, especially older kids (10+) who can handle his energy and size
- Thrives when he feels like he has a job or purpose - he hasn't been trained as a working dog but would probably thrive doing agility

Ideal Home:
- Single dog household preferred (he enjoys being the center of attention)
- Experienced dog owners who understand the Border Collie temperament
- Family with older children and happy for him to have a bed inside at night
- Large rural setting with safe space, fully secured yard/property. Fencing must be secure and tall
- Ideally someone who works from home as he likes to have company and gets anxious when left alone for long periods
- Property with chickens welcome - he enjoys their company but will herd them
- Can be around horses but tends to bark at them from the other side of the fence

Important Notes:
- Requires secure containment when left alone - he's an escape artist and will wander if the opportunity arises
- Needs activity and mental challenges like agility, or advanced training
- His herding instincts may be too intense for very young children
- Needs mental stimulation and "work" to be truly happy

He will come with up to date on vaccinations and he's in good health. We want to ensure he goes to someone who can meet his high activity needs and provide the secure, loving environment he deserves.

His new family and environment is very important to us so we will want to do a meet and greet to ensure that his needs will be met.
