Cocoa is a very loving, loyal female, 8months old, medium size (approx size when full grown) staffy x (we don't know what Cocoa is mixed with).

Good with children under 10: Yes
Good with children over 10: Yes
Needs fencing at least: 1.5m high
Can be left alone during work hours: For short periods

Cocoa knows her basic commands - sit, stay, come, place, down. She is responding well to "no" and knows to sit and wait patiently when she wants something. Cocoa is toilet trained. She has been crate trained, and knows to settle during the day, settles in her crate when we leave for a few hours, and sleeps in her crate overnight.

She enjoys playing with our older dog Luna, takes breaks during play, and understands when Luna sets boundaries.

Cocoa initially liked cats a little too much; but she is responding well to positive training for cat avoidance. We can mostly have her let free around our confident cat but needs boundaries around our more reactive cat.

Cocoa's main training drive is food or play. She loves to play tug with a soft toy or rope, or chasing tennis balls either thrown or on her own. Cocoa loves to sleep on her humans lap, loves a cuddle and is very affectionate.

Ellie’s Canine Rescue are based in the Greater Wellington region, depending on the dog we do adopt out of the Wellington region but request any potential owner meet us and the dog in person and if successful drive home with the dog. We do not ship dogs unmet. Undesexed dogs and puppies are not rehomed outside of the Greater Wellington Region.
