Nellie was found on the streets as a young puppy so consequently when she came to us (from the SPCA) she was very reserved and timid.

Now she is a ball of energy! She is the most loving dog and it'd be her dream to find a human that would let her up on the couch while watching TV at night, or even someone who worked from home so she could snuggle at their feet during the day.

Nellie is very clever and very food driven. She has been to puppy school and flew through her lessons. She knows sit, leave, come, wait, outside, touch and toilet. She would love to learn more too (she has not yet mastered not to jump).

Nellie is good with our other dog and ignores our chickens. Once she knows the rules (like not to chase) she seems to obey them! Nellie also loves our neighbours' cows. If they are in the driveway paddock on our walks Nellie will nose boop her favourites in greeting.
She has had minimal exposure to cats.

Nellie has had some exposure to children but because of her food drive I would recommend that she went to a family with older teens that understood dog behaviour, rather than one with small children.

Nellie must go to someone who will let her sleep inside at night (she is afraid of the dark).

We are looking for a new home for Nellie because the health of our other dog has declined suddenly and dramatically. They now have different needs (ie Nellie needs a big walk, the other dog can't walk too far).
Nellie deserves a family who is better suited to her as she has so much love to give. Nellie would be almost 2 we think, and she has been with us for 1.5 years
