Nellie was rescued from under a deck with her five babies in South Auckland

Now that her babies are grown, shes looking for a safe and comfortable home of her own. Nellie loves her food, and will happily meow to remind you it’s dinner time! She enjoys gentle attention on her terms and has come leaps and bounds in the past few months. Nellie isn’t a lap cat yet and she does like people. But with patience, routine, and kindness, she has lots of potential.

She would do best in a quiet home or with another friendly cat, as she gains confidence from other confident feline company. If you’re looking for a low-key companion who appreciates food and a cat friend, Nellie could be your girl!

We are a registered charity run by volunteers in our spare time. Our animals are fostered in different foster homes across Auckland and we require you to meet the animal in their foster home before deciding to go ahead with adoption. We deal with adoption applications in writing and appreciate your patience when messaging about your interest.
