This brother and sister duo came to us as little wildlings from the Parnell Rose Gardens and are around 9 months old.

Spicey got her name from being a super sassy little girl when she arrived. While she is genuinely a bit shy to start off with, she really does enjoy some good pets and becomes a little smooch monster the more that she gets to know you. Start with her tail and she will let you work up to petting her whole body. Temptations and other treats will get you a long way with this girl. Her preference is to be up high either on a cat tower or a comfy hammock on the wall.

Lowell remains suspicious of humans until offered food and will then readily accept butt scritches while he eats. Once he realises that you are the supplier of tasty delicious things, he will be your noisy little shadow and will let you know about ALL his complaints to management. Lowell’s preference for petting is only on his schedule – he will smooch you when he is ready for the required amount of kitten worship.

They both love toys, especially the ball track toys, and perching at the top of a nice tall cat tower and will often snooze together. They both love cat biscuits, Jimbos and gravy-based cat food, but Lowell can be a little bit greedy and try and eat Spicey’s food if you don’t keep an eye on him.

As they are strongly bonded, we will only be rehoming them together. They will need understanding humans who can work on building a relationship with them – they won’t be smoochy or super-friendly straight away. They would be suitable in an adult / teenager environment as they can get a little excited when they are overstimulated. They are currently completely indoor cats but could be transitioned to indoor-outdoor cats with the right family.

Both have been desexed, microchipped, and had their vaccinations.

There is an adoption fee of $200 for the bonded pair which helps the NZ Cat Foundation continue its amazing work rescuing and rehoming cats and kittens.
