HUGO - special needs adoption
Male
Fostered in Avondale
Desexed, chipped, registered, parasite free + 30 days free pet insurance
Hugo was surrendered to one of our partner vets with a blocked bladder. His owners had not kept him on his urinary diet. Hugo was dropped off to be euthanised as they would not pay for treatment however the vet believed due to his young age and potential to stay unblocked on the right diet, that euthanasia wasn’t right.
Hugo continues to have a hearty urine flow on his special diet and his stress-free foster apartment environment! He is a loyal and doting boy who follows his foster mummy around like a little shadow. Hugo loves attention and being talked to. He tells people off for not doing as he wants and uses his balcony litterbox for #2 and inside box for #1. A smart and clean boy!
It is non negotiable that Hugo is fed a urinary diet, he will come with some of this to his new home. He also needs to be provided with a stimulating but stress free indoor environment. If you’ve already got a urinary kitty at home, why not a second?!
To meet Hugo please message us. Note that adequate completion of an adoption screening applies and a fee of $300.
We are a registered charity run by volunteers who care for our rescue cats, respond to messages, and host adoption visits all in our spare time in our private homes across Auckland. We deal with adoption applications in writing and appreciate your patience when messaging about your interest.
